How to get to the Chalets de la Wormsa campsite
Simplify your arrival: whether by car, train, bus or plane, we’ve made it easy for you to reach our site in Metzeral.
Welcome to the access page for the Chalets de la Wormsa campsite, located at 72 rue de l’Altenhof, 68380 Metzeral (Haut-Rhin). Here you’ll find all the different ways to get to our site, so you can start your journey with peace of mind.
Access by car
If you’re arriving by car, there are three possible routes. From the north, freeway A35 to Colmar. From the south, route nationale N83 to Colmar. From the west, the D417 through the Vosges and the Col d’altitude de la Schlucht (1139m) to Munster.
Then head for Munster on the D417. From Munster, take the D10 to Metzeral. Once in Metzeral, head for Mittlach and drive past our establishment.
In winter, beware of the winter closure of the Route des Crêtes (D430). Avoid the Vosges mountains. You can drive over the Col de la Schlucht if you have suitable winter tires, but we advise against it in case of heavy snow. Plan a route via the A35 freeway or the N83 trunk road.
Access by train or bus
To get here by train or bus, disembark at Colmar station, then take a TER or regional train to Munster or Metzeral. From Colmar, the TER Colmar-Metzeral line takes you just 1km from us. Once in Metzeral, take a cab or walk up the Rue de l’Altenhof through the village.
This is the ideal solution for a car-free stay, while enjoying the comfort of easy access to the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park.
Access by plane
If you’re arriving by air, the nearest airports are EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL/MLH) and Strasbourg-Entzheim (SXB). From these airports, you can rent a car or take a shuttle bus to Colmar, then join Metzeral as described above.
Once in Metzeral, follow rue de l’Altenhof to reach the campsite directly. The exact address to enter in your GPS is: 72 rue de l’Altenhof, 68380 Metzeral.
If you have any questions, our team will be happy to help you by phone. We wish you a pleasant journey and look forward to welcoming you to the heart of the Munster valley.
